برنامج جوجل ايرث Google Earth من شركة جوجل Google هو عبارة عن برنامج يربطك بالقمر الصناعي ، ووظيفة هذا البرنامج هو اظهار صور كوكب الأرض بعدة اشكال ، فبواسطة هذا البرنامج يمكنك الذهاب لأي بلد ورؤية تضاريس البلد عن بعد ، بل يمكنك التقريب حتى ترى الناس المتجولون في الشارع ، يمكنك التحكم بالكوكب بطريقة سهلة ويمكنك التحكم فى درجة البعد او القرب من الارض.كما يعرض البرنامج معلومات كثيرة تفيدك في عملية البحث مثل عرض اسماء المدن واسماء الاحياء والشوارع الرئيسية في المدينة ، كما يوضح خطوط الحدود الدولية بين البلدان ، وبعض المعلومات الأخرى قد تكون مهمة لك مثل معدل الجريمة وغيرها ، والشيء المميز في هذا البرنامج الرائع أنه يمكن الذهاب لمدينة معينة وعرضها ومن ثم حفظها في بند “My Places” ، وذلك للرجوع اليها بسهولة بدلاً من اجراء البحث مرة أخرى والتقريب والتبعيد Google Earth lets you fly anywhere on Earth to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, from galaxies in outer space to the canyons of the ocean.
